Building Regulations are a legal set of requirements throughout England and Wales under which all building work must be
conducted. Your local authority Building Control Department is responsible for ensuring that high standards are maintained
and any work we complete is carried out in accordance with the latest regulations, for example health and safety, insulation
and the environmental issues.
A Garage Conversion, which has not been completed in accordance with building regulations, is technically illegal. The
penalties for non-compliance with building regulations can be severe and hefty; penalties can be imposed on the homeowner,
who is ultimately responsible for any alterations to their home.
Your local authority could also enforce the reversal of any work that has been carried out.
Upon placing your order with us you can be assured that we will liaise with the Local Authority as necessary. We will
complete the statutory Building Regulation Forms, arrange, and be in attendance, throughout the various stages of inspection
and we will ensure that following a successful Final Inspection an approved Completion Certificate is issued in your name as
the Homeowner.
